Gastritis and continous itchiness are they linked.

Hi

I went to my GP a year ago due to acid reflux and spasms in my throat, I also had an itchiness that I was experiencing all over my body. I had an endoscopy and was diagnosed with mild gastritis and advised to stay clear of spicy/fried foods and alcoholic drinks. A year on the acid reflux and spasms have lessened due to watching my diet. I was also diagnosed with B12 deficiency at the time and I'm now getting B12 injections every 3 months. I thought that the deficiency in B12 was causing the itchiness and that the injections would reduce this continuous itchiness. The itchiness is not contained to one part of my body but everywhere, soles of feet/ankles/legs/arms/stomach/back etc and even my head gets itchy and it is only sometimes when itching that raised bumps appear on my skin but disappear very quickly.

I am now thinking that the gastritis is somehow causing the itchiness as originally went to GP with gut problems and itchiness, maybe obvious but thought at the time that the itchiness was down to B12 deficiency.

Has anyone else been diagnosed with Gastritis and also experienced an overall itch?
