Gastritis in pregnancy

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has had similar. I was diagnosed almost two months ago with gastritis. I was only diagnosed over the phone by Gp, due to the situation at the minute.

I'm 34 weeks pregnant, and since around 22 weeks I've had stomach issues. Mainly burning in stomach after eating, nipping and tingling pain that occasionally radiates to my side and back. It goes completely if I lay down. The area where my stomach is is tender to touch also. This got worse around 28 weeks when my doctor put me on omeprazole for 4 weeks. I took them but they didn't do much, which was partly due to me not changing my diet. I spoke to another doctor and again was put on omeprazole and peptac. I changed my diet cutting out fatty, sugary foods and caffeine. The pain has got better since I did this but it's still there. There isn't much doctor can do till I've had baby.

Has anyone had gastritis and it eased off after giving birth? I'm miserable and can't eat much at all. If I sit in certain position the tingling in my stomach gets worse. Also I get pulling feeling when moving certain way... Abit like a sore muscle or nerves. I don't feel sick or have acid. I burp abit but not more then usual. I was quite anxious in early pregnancy and have been on and off since. I do suffer major anxiety so not much if this is contributing.
