Gastritis or ulcer?

Has anyone had problems with gastritis or ulcers in the stomach?

I was given paroxetine for fibro last year and started getting severe stomach pain around that time. I have stopped the meds and have been put on PPI's to reduce acid. I have no heartburn etc just a gnawing pain in my upper stomach that comes and goes.

I do drink a lot of alcohol (1/2 bottle wine per night-sometimes 2 nights off per week)

sad

Where are your stomach pains located are they just below your sternum do they come and go every day? Do you have any rib pain as well?

I do get breast bone pain. But this is different. This is right inside my stomach. A gnawing burning pain that comes and goes and is relieved by milk or anti acid (although i dont have indigestion or heartburn)

Dr said sounds like gastritis or ulcer. NOT caused by paroxetine (even though it started then and is a side effect) theyve referred me for an endoscopy.

I just wondered if any other fibro sufferers had these symptoms or if its just another crap thing about my body?

    Thanks

I have pain like this every time I eat anything plus all night every night and get really painful attacks where it radiates into my back. My doctor doesn't know what it is but I am convinced it is a hiatus hernia. I take lansaprol and munch Rennie's, they ease it a bit.
