My insurance company will no longer pay for the brand version of Cialis, since generics are now available. (I take 5mg daily for BPH.) Has anyone experienced a difference in effectiveness of this drug between the generic and brand version?

i've been using generic from CANADA for a while, no reason to be worried about the new US version. i'm sure it will work. you can PM me if you want.

Thanks... My concern with generics is that there isn't really a requirement that they be identical, or even studied as to whether they are as effective or safe, only that the active ingredient be the same. There have also been disturbing news stories over the years about quality control from some of the generic makers.
Been taking the generic for a week now; so far so good.

Who do you think funds/pays for those "studies" that vaguely question the quality and efficacy of generics ? Those "studies" are not what most rational persons would classify as followers of Scientific Methods for double blind research.

How about taking the word of an FDA inspector who actually inspects the generic production facilities? Google the New York Times article, "Americans Need Generic Drugs. But Can They Trust Them?", dated May 11, 2019. It describes the experiences of the FDA inspector Peter Baker. He discovered fraud or deceptive practices in 80% of plants he inspected in India and China (40% of our generics come from plants in India). They faked quality data, quality control data, altered test results, had massively unsanitary conditions... The list goes on.
Everything in the world isn't a conspiracy. Sometimes real problems exist simply because of greed and lust for profits.

I've been on the generic brand of Cilias at my doctors suggestion for about 4 months. With insurance I was paying $100 / month for 5mg daily. We decided I needed 10mg daily and the doctor suggested going to Canadian drugs. Found a legitimate pharmacy that required a prescription. I order 20mg and split them taking half each day. Couldn't be happier with the results and it is $40 for 88 pills which I split, that's like $80 per year.

I was taking Tamsulosin in the PM and Cialis in the AM. Decided to dump the tamsulosin due to side effects and discussed increase dose of Cialis with my doctor and he agreed and he suggested Canadian generic. I am just now after almost 6 months off of Tamsulosin getting my sex life back.
