Genital herpes?? Help.

Posted , 5 users are following.

I had unprotected sex about a week ago and immediately after my vagina felt like it was burning. There was some initial discharge which made me believe it was a yeast infection. The burning hasn't really stopped and it was a bit itchy at first. Recently, a couple of lesions showed up. I've done some research online on genital herpes and none of the pictures look like what I have. I need help figuring out if it is herpes or not.

I can't figure out how to post a picture 😐

Initially I thought what I had looked nothing like herpes too, turns out I have HSV-1! Definitely go to a sexual health clinic to be looked at. They're very helpful and specialise in this thing so please please go -it's worth it. I think this may be herpes as I had the exact same symptoms to begin with. xx

Figured it out but I'm on my phone and icon goes away quicky which doesnt give me a chance to select it. To see for yourself go to frequently asked questions and it's the second to last question.

This is a hard virus to diagnose & it's even tougher to realize that you have been infected. It seems like all of the symptoms are same but Completely Different. HSV effects everyone differently but the only way to know for sure is to visit your doctor and get tested. Before you go research, research, and research some more so you are prepared to ask questions. Show your doctor the pictures too, it may help them to see.

    Keep informed ?
