Genital herpes??? Help

My boyfriend gets cold sores on his lips. They usually occur when he uses a chapstick he’s allergic too, or doesn’t feel good. About a week ago, he performed oral sex on me, with no fever blister present. After maybe 3 days I started experiencing painful urination and thought maybe it was just a urinary tract infection, because I am pregnant and I had already read that they’re easier to contract when pregnant. 2 days after that, a fever blister formed on his lip. 2 days ago, blisters started appearing on my vagina and urination is just getting worse and worse to the point I’m almost crying everytime I have to pee. Is this herpes, or could it just be a UTI and the blisters be appearing due to an infection (folliculitis) or allergy from the new razor I used the same day the fever blister appeared on his lip?

I wasn’t aware my ex had the virus until after I contracted and I noticed he got a cold sore on his lip. I had painful urination and bumps that look tiny blisters appear about two weeks after he performed oral sex on me. I went to the dr. Got a blood test which was negative and then a swab test which was positive. I would say your symptoms seem to coincide with what i had but especially if you’re pregnant go get checked out. As I’m told by my dr that if pregnant you want to set on a suppressant. My outbreaks are typically triggered by stress so the lower I keep my stress levels the better.

Thank you for the information! How long did it take your first outbreak to go away? I am seriously miserable and everytime I have to use the restroom I get so upset because it is so bad. When you got tested did they prescribe you something to help it stay away?

I want to say it was about a week or so. Yes because your body has to fight off the virus. I was prescribed Valtrex but after 9 years of having it I no longer use it as the outbreaks are seldom. I may get one once every couple to three months and it only lasts a day or two before it’s gone.

    Ofcourse it might be herpes.

    You can post a pic.

You should be sure about diagnosis as long as you are pregnant.

If it is herpes you should not go for vaginal delivery as your baby might be infected during delivery. It should be better caesarian better. See your gyna dr.
