Genital Herpes. PLEASE HELP.

Posted , 8 users are following.

I have my first OB of GH and it is absolutely horrible. I'm 18 and scared to tell my parents, so I haven't gone to the doctor (and this isn't an option because my mother is absolutely crazy). My sores are ALL OVER my vagina and thighs. Nothing has worked for me, Aloe burns very badly and so does Hydrogen peroxide.

I hate my life right now. I have a swim meet next week that I HAVE to go to. In a month I will be leaving for college of a swimming scholarship and I'm literally freaking out and want to die because I feel like this is going to ruin everything. Please someone help me. IM IN SO MUCH PAIN.

Definitely go to the doctor. You will need n antiviral medication. I also had to go on an antidepressent for a month as the virus sits n the nerve endings and my pain was horrific aswell. The antidepressent relaxes the nerve endings so the pain isnt as bad.

Your first attack is the absolute worst! It gets better. Soon everything will be back to normal.

I found eating healthy and exercising helps and avoid any foods that are stimulants eg coffee energy drinks etc

You dont need to tell anyone if you dont want to.

I went to the doctor finally. My parents were pretty harsh with their words but they will get over it. My doctor said it was the WORST breakout she has ever seen. I'm on Antibiotics and Pain killers. It moved to my throat and it's on my finger and both are very rare. I'm already super active and healthy which is weird why it would spread. I'm a swimmer so I practice twice a day everyday (obviously not right now). I doubt my mother will let me go on an antidepressant because she is rarely letting me use the pain pills now (she thinks i'll get addicted). I haven't told anyone but my parents and my older sister who is 29. Luckily my sister has been a very big support and super worried through this. She understands me more and has been helping me out.

I just recently had an OB and I'm only 20. No over the counter creams worked for me, I soaked in the bath multiple times a day, drank plenty of water, and avoid tight clothing. The area needs to be as dry as possible for the sores to scan over and disappear.

Yes I soaked in a Epsom salt bath today! I have been patting and drying the area and leaving it open. Unfortunately mine is so severe I have over 100 sores (i know it's hard to believe. but very true ) on my inner thighs and genitals so when some scab over new ones appear and it has been taking awhile for there to even seem to be a difference.

      Hi Drey,

You seem very positive which is amazing because the more you stress the worse it gets. Don't get yourself down, take your medicine, and educate yourself. If you ever need to talk to someone, I'm here. Hope you get to feeling better.

By the way, I found out I had GH at 18. I was there before, there's light at the end of the tunnel. Trust me!

    HI Drey

how have you been so far?  I'm actually having an outbreak RIGHT NOW -__-  I recently bought some coconut oil so I am going to see if that speeds up the recovery process smile

i have fibromyalgia so my body is usually under alot of stress which doesnt help keep outbreaks to a minimum unfortunately.  I take Valcyclovir but it doesnt help all that much. sighhhhh  well i hope you have done some reading up on it and are doing better these days.
