I am waiting for my test results. I have a sore on my labia minora that looks like a canker sore. Never a blister, I check it multiple times a day since I started having discomfort. I haven’t been able to find pictures of what my sore looks like. Has anyone had a similar experience that tested either positive or negative?

the one white spot kind of looks like mine. I should get my results tomorrow. I hope you get yours soon and they are negative.

Hi sara48403 I just posted about something similar that looks more like a canker sore, but it was after I squeezed it thinking it was a cyst or ingrown hair. I haven't been tested but go look at my post in the forum and let me know if our spots look similar. Could be that its just a skin irritation issue.

my test was positive for hsv 2. im devastated. i dont want to live like this for the rest of my life. i dont know how to go on. i feel like my life is ruined and no one will ever want me now

im so sorry, im scared too i get my results tomorrow. i am so scared. i talked with a friend and she said her bf has is but hes living a reg life like its nothjng. he takes a pill everyday for it and they have a sex life and she doesnt have it im just scared. im so depressed what were your symptoms

thank you guys, I appreciate it. My only symptom was the sore. My skin on my left leg was maybe a little more sensitive the day before the sore came, but no tingling or itching on the spot. No blister, just a red bump and then the next day it looked like a canker sore. I just told the guy I recently started seeing and he wants to keep dating. He did some research and saw how common it was. So I will start meds and not have sex until after the sore is gone. I'm honestly shocked he is ok with it. I dont know what will happen if he gets it though. Hopefully he wont resent me

Thats great though I think most people would understand how common it is Im glad to hear that it didnt change his viewpoint he is clearly mature and knows his stuff If you ever need any support at all message me anytime

Just as a heads up, it's much easier for him to give it to you than it is for you to give it to him. In fact, it's also entirely possible that he's the one who gave it to you if it popped up after you guys had sex. Now that does not mean that he knowingly gave it to you, it's possible he's never had an outbreak and would never know he had it because of that.

we havent had sex yet. we have actually only been out a few times. once he saw how common it is he wasnt too worried. and he saw that its easier for women to get it. i am still upset about having it but im trying to just think about it like its a cold sore and just in a different place
