Some strains of HPV do cause cervical cancer. Although, the strains that cause Genital warts usually don't cause cervical cancer.

so did you have a wart or vestibular pap? those are two different things. vestibular pap is not an std and harmless. the strain of hov that causes genital warts is not the same one that can lead to cancer

you can get tested for HPV and the doctor can tell you if you have an active infection, I would suggest you retake all your gardasil...preferabile gardasil 9 shots, if you don't have an active infection, you're clear 👍 if you do have an active infection, there's a vaccine that finished phase 3 human trials last year and it should be on the market in around 3 years, this can actually cure most cases of hpv, the current gardasil 9 only protects, but it's been show to help reduce the lesions by 30% ..and also prevents reinfection.

How do they test you for hpv? If the virus is active or not?
