Genital warts? Please advise

Posted , 4 users are following.

asymptomatic bumps near end of my penis. one doctor told me fordyce and another simply said herpes. all std tests are negative (no hpv test done) and a swab was done on a similar bump coming back negative. i am going to go to a dermatologist at this point as i want someone specialized to look at it. im not sure if fordyce can become more prominent with age (27 now and have always noticed fordyce on my penis) or if this is a wart instead. thanks for any insight in the meantime

I'm not seeing a bump that looks like a wart. Nothing there looks like herpes to me. Regarding HPV there is not test other than visual inspection. They could biposy a wart if you have one. Honestly, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

which ever dr said, herpes wants striking off, there is no visual evidence or comparison from a fiorcyde spot to herpes, either hes an appaling dr or youve mis understood.

I appreciate the responses. I just noticed maybe my fordyce were more protruding (I guess they were just more visible). Dr 100% said herpes, but English was not his first language so may have just been a misunderstanding there idk? Yes, no tests other than my GP doing a swab test (negative) and full STD test (obviously no HPV test) also negative. He sent me to a "specialist" who I'm just assuming wasn't a specialist...My GP said he saw nothing to worry about so I'm going to stop worrying at this point unless get worse/spread/come back. Thank you
