Gentamicin

my husband had endocarditis and relieved gentamicin treatment for 6 weeks every 4 hours 24 hours a day .this saved his life also the valve replacement surgery. my question is he has numbness and tingling in the tops of his legs it started with burning sensation has this in both kegs but left leg is far worse foot is numb and when tired whole leg uncomfortable numb and tingling .is this possible side affect from gentamicin. getting answer is hard .

    Gentamicin injection is used to treat certain serious infections that are caused by bacteria such as meningitis (infection of the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord) and infections of the blood, abdomen (stomach area), lungs, skin, bones, joints, and urinary tract
