GERD/ Acid Reflux getting worse

I had bad reflux at birth, but eventually grew out of it. When I was 7 or 8 years old I began to have heart burn and by ages 10 - 11 it became full on reflux with burning and vomiting. At age 15 I had chest tightness, my throat would stick out (hope that makes sense), burning, and vomiting and was put on 15mg of Lansoprazol daily, then 30mg because it wasn't strong enough. At 16 I was put on 60mg a day (which is what I am on now) and it totally stopped the symptoms (therapy and meds for anxiety also helped). I am 17 now and I am not feeling anxious but my symptoms have returned (chest tightness, throat sticking out, vomiting into my mouth). Is there a reason for my

reflux worsening or could there be another condition that is causing it? I also have IBS which has been mostly normal recently and I haven't had a flare up in a few months.

Have u been offered an op? If I was in your situation that is what I would do. I wouldn't risk being on those meds at that high dose (60mg) long term! Have you researched the Nissan fundopilation (it has good success rate). My prefence would be to have it done laparoscopically.

I'm not a doc but it sounds like your LES muscle doesn't work properly. Have u had an endoscopy and ph study done?
