GERD and red bumps on the back of tongue

Has anyone with SS have red bumps on top of taste bud may caused by GERD or dry mouth?

I was recently diagnosed with SS, primary symptoms are very dry mouth and red bumps on the very back of tongue, dry nose and congestion, silent acid reflux, hard time swallow.

My rhumetogist does not think the bumps caused by acid reflux

I lost sense of taste for three months with burning mouth, magic mouth did not help. Should I treat Acid reflux or dry mouth or both so red bumps may go away?

      Hi Diane,

Thanks, I got Biotene spray and found it is really helpful at night. The red bumps have been on my tongue for a while, they probably won't go ways that fast. I am new to SS, just don't know what to expect.

I have had Sjogron's for over 10 years and this year after severe flu got real bad GI issues including thrush, acid reflux and swelling in my stomach. Please do treat your acid reflux and see a GI specialist as soon as you can. I have been experiencing vomiting and nausea for over three months now. Went to GI two weeks ago and it's getting little better. I'm on three different meds for these issues. Please address this right away!

You can try Ginger Candy 'Gin-Gins' that helps a lot with nausea. I also use sweet flannel seeds, you can get them at any south Asian (Indian/Pakistani) grocery stores. You can get the regular ones from regular stores but I like the sweet one.
