    Poor you !

I can understand the the Medics being slightly mystified at your symptoms.

Breathless, shaky, dizzy, cramps - you would not normally associate with  Gastric problems.

What I cannot understand is that these issues seem to have taken more importance in the eyes of the Medics than your Gastric issues. Of course Heart atttacks are more immediately life threatening and this may have been on their minds. But your Gastric symptoms seem to me to be much more serious. And therefore a Gastroenterologist would have been more appropriate than a Cardiologist. As for someone advising Aspirin, with your problems !!!!! That is unbelievable and very negligent !!!! (If you do have stomach ulceration that could cause a Haemorrhage) From personal experience I would advise splitting the Omeprazole dosage and taking 40mg last thing at night.

But here is the advise that your GP should have given you in the first place.

You should see a Gastroenterologist quickly. And prepare yourself for an Endoscopy (tube down the throat). Unpleasant but very necessary for your stomach to be examined to find out what is going on. If you are in Britain your GP can ask the NHI for a quick referral and a Consultant is required to see you within a fortnight.

Best of luck - and so sorry about your Xmas.

    PS

I just notice an advert for Nurofen at the side of my reply.

Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) including Ibuprofen can cause Gastric Ulcers and are a no no for people with Gastric issues.

Hi.I was exactly like that for the past 4 years and in my situation it was even worse because i could not even speak properly because of breathlessness. After losing faith in public hospitals,I decided to see a cardiologist but the results were normal,I then went to a gastroenterologist who diagnosed me with gastric ulcer two months ago and I also tested positive for H pylori infection.

I am now feeling better.I also agree that you should see a gastroenterologist.Good luck.
