so let me start
36 years old and diagnosed with 5cm sliding hh 4 and half years ago. so at the start i was in a bubble as to what was wrong and had all the heart checks what all come back clear and only after investigating myself and requesting a endoscopy i was diagnosed with a 5cm hh, which quite frankly was the start of my life basically ruined. i have probably been to a and e maybe 50 times in four years with symptoms ranging from chest pains, arm pains and basically every worry imaginable. i feel no doctor has any clue on this condition and i just dont know which way to turn anymore. over the last year ive had every blood test imaginable (nothing wrong anywhere) ive had scans and recently had the 7 day ecg monitor as i requested to have it as i have convinced myself i have a serious condition to the extent that i now also have health anxiety and am on 100 mg setraline daily.
i have tried every tablet going, herbal, prescription ppis etc all to no avail
slyppery elm
tumeric
ginger root
milk thistle
gaviscon
esermoprozole
omerprozole
lansoprozole
ranitidine
famotidine
you name it ive tried it!!
ive lost weight, quit smoking 2 years ago
but nothing works.
if youre still reading this then i know that you must be suffering like me and i really do feel for you so much, its actually ruined my life and i really cant see how its gonna improve. anyway if anybody reading this has any new suggestions i will be eternally grateful, or even just to vent at me, ill take anything
thanks for reading

i am in the same boat with you and no paddle. Some days ok, lately most i am miserable. Prilosec/ etc make it worse. Alka Seltzer best for me but still sucks. Constant pain when doing strenuous activity below sterum. I have fought through this for multiple years and just am tired. if anyone has suggestions plz let us know. Our boat is taking on water. Dr always tell me after test its anxiety... once labeled in your file history it gives them a fast easy diagnosis.CJ
