Gerd, upper back pain. Is This possible?

I have been suffering from suspected GERD or Silent reflux* since January. I have symptoms that seem to point to it, such as breathless, indigestion, coughing and whistling/wheezing when breathing out. I only have had heartburn occasionally. However, in the last couple of weeks, i have had pain in my upper back, in between my shoulder blades. It is not there constantly, it comes and goes. It usually starts after I've been lying in bed, or if I've been leaning back, pressing on my upper back. Could this be a symptom of Reflux/Gerd/silent reflux, or is it more likely to be something else?

*i haven't actually seen the doctor about it yet, but i think it's the most likely cause.

    hi Jade

for me acid reflux always gave me severe pain between my shoulder blades upper back, I haven't had it for awhile tg, but when it was there it was really bad. I'm on esomeprazole 20mg twice a day and it seems to be under control for now, it takes ages for ppi to work but yes definitely back pain is a symptom.
