For the past 3 months I have been experiencing changes in my body, randomly sitting and heart starts pounding and sky rockets. Then Burning in my stomach and heart burn along with palpitations i went to a Med Spec who diagnosed everything and said it was all due to GERD and low vit D levels. Now the background is that I have been on a healthy diet lost around 30 kgs of weight and am 5'6 weigh at 70 kgs and am 21. But somehow these things have caused me to Halt my workouts and have even lead me to stop it. Thus i gained 5kgs and am desperately worried due to slight workout triggers high heart rate leading to panic attacks and anxiety. I was physically and mentally very fit and was set to join the army but this has now come in my way of my future and dream, I desperately need help and guidance from anyone who can bring me back to the good athlete i was with a healthy heart rate of 60 and a good stomach.

i had sort of similar symptos and I too have had to stop working out.  I am taking vitamin D supplements and working with some one on diet modifications.  I had an upper GI scope done which found GERD and mild gastritis in my stomach.  When this comes on it makes me feel horrible ..Ive had 2 ERvisits over the summer thinking it was my heart.  is your head of bed elevated??  cut out caffeine, alcohol and chocolate(hard ,b ut worth it if you feel better, right??).  I really dont want to take PPI's but the zantac i am on now all of a sudden seems less effective....you will get through this but take it easy with yourself and take 1 day at a time.  your body is trying to tell you that something is out of balance. Stress???  Good luck !
