gerds and palpitations

hi. i have read everyones coments and symtoms of acid reflux, i have suffered now for over a year and currently am taking omeprazole 20mg once daily.have had camera down my throat,and was informed by my doctor that there was slight acid damage but stomach was ok also had an infection in my throat which they thought was thrush. i have most of the symtoms which everyone describes but when i have it bad i have palpitations as well as the others. i can feel ok some days, but can eat certain things and my stomach becomes bloated and itall starts over again. does anyone suffer with these symtoms also.

    hi

    i myself have taken omeprazole for 2yrs,i have had the bloated stomach,but generally found they did the trick for me,what i would strongly suggest is going straight to your GP with the palpitations,i had been getting them quite severly and was dianosed with an arithmia 8months ago named WPW..so i repeat any palpitations should be checked out.

    I have tried to try to sort out my illness but in my case the consultant doesnt want to know and basically I have had no progress in my diagnosis.I have given up hope of getting anything sorted soon,so I carry on in pain until something or someone can be bothered to do anything :cry: :cry: :cry:

    Hi I suffer with my oesophagus every day, I am suffering at the moment and it is very hard to live with, I do not seem to feel the acid as in heartburn ect, only palpatations, my Dr has just taken me off of Omeprazole 20mg and put me on Pantoprazole 40 mg she said it would transform my life and 98% stop the palpatations I get, has it like hell, I still suffer and feel as if my neck is going to explode with the preasure, I feel giddy all the time, sometimes find it hard to breath and have been in A & E many times on oxygen because of it. It is the palpatations i find hard to live with, I have passed out a few times but the Drs only say well it goes in to spasm's stops you breathing you pass out when you pass out everything relaxes then you can breath again. Oh and then get on with your life. I have had my heart checked out and apart from a leaky valve which will cause no probs all is ok. My daughter has just moved to Australia and I know I Can't go see her unless i have someone with me as this has knocked my confidence so much, I can't plan anything as I do not know how I will feel. I do work but not to far from home. Thank you for reading this, sad
