Get back to normal

I am three weeks post surgery and still having multiple bowel movements a day. What can I do to get back to normal so I don't need to be a prisoner in my own home ? I would like to return to work, but that isn't an option under these conditions.

Take your medication that you have been given for pain and BM. Eat a high fibre diet and drink plenty of water.

After each BM have a shower or bath.

I am almost two weeks out and having the same issue, although I’ve gone back to work. Are you still taking any medications? I’m doing high fiber, high water diet and miralax as recommended by my dr. I have been slowly decreasing the miralax but still having two bm’s a day. I’m scared to quit it completely and risk hard stool 😬

I am now 4 weeks post surgery and have eased back on some of the digestive treatments.  I no longer take stool softeners and I take less Citrucel.  I take two fiber gummies at night.  I’m now down to 1 BM per day but there is still sometimes an urgency factor that makes me nervous about being too far from a bathroom
