getting embarrassed - 2 months of lower back pain

hey everyone,

have been desperately searching the internet for solutions regarding my lower back pain. i'm a 35yo mum to 2. i've had lower back pain in the past but not for 2 months almost constantly. never visited the doc  for this reason before because i'm scared a bit of results. what if they find something and i need an op? i've looked through a couple of sites to get a device first for at-home use before visiting a doctor. read like a ton of reviews on devices like this: https://www.thebackmagic.com/spine-worx-review/ . obviously, the author here is not a doctor either, but i wanted to look at what other patients might think. can you recommend anything for first timers? any advice much appreciated.

First thing is to see a doctor and have a scan. If you don't find what it is it will be getting worse.

For heaven's sakes go see a doctor if not for you then for your two year old. It's highly unlikely that they will find something that needs operated on. It is probably something called degenerative disc disease. Which sounds scary but it's not. It just means that your body is starting to age and this is like the beginning of arthritis. Hundreds of thousands of people have DDD and have no pain . But it could be many years before it progresses to that point. Another thing they might find is that you have some kind of disc issue. A disc is the jelly like cushion that is between each vertebrae. There again you probably won't be recommended for surgery for that. I have seven of them and I'm not having any surgery. But what the doctor can do for you once its determined what's wrong with you is to treat your problem. Other than drugs there are things like injections in your back, physical therapy and a TENS unit which really would be worth purchasing even now. The gadget that you have a hyperlinked for is just that, it's a gadget and it's not going to do any good. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars on crap like that. Please go to see your doctor!
