I would talk to your doctor and have your doctor slowly get you off the HRT if you are ready and i would not try anything else because you could have side effects from it

Just have your doctor help you if you think you are ready

I have been on hrt for 25 years (early hysterectomy) and I am never going off it.  I am now 64.  I do use oestrodiol though, which is bioidentical.  Implants, patches, gel - never oral.  This of course, does not help you if you really want to go off it.  But it does give you another option.

As you still have your uterus, you would need to take some progesterone too.   I take Provera or generics of, and I don't have any problems with it.  There is no bioidentical progesterone.  I take it 'cause I had endometriosis right up into my abdomen and it is said to be activated by oestrogen.

If you go for the patches, even to just wind down, make sure dr prescribes a MX (matrix) one which is more slowly absorbed.

Good luck with whatever you do.

I am taking provera and i have had no problems with it. It calm me down with my psych meds to where i can sleep at night i take 2.5mg of it also estradiol 1 mg of that and had no problem with it.

My palpitations are going away slowly i do feel them at times but they are slowly going away after being on the two meds for a week. I am not as depressed as i use to be or anxious as i use to be so i just have to keep on these two meds and see how i feel in another week or so

But i do see a difference in my moods a lot i am smiling more and laughing more
