Hiya what op did they do for you? cystectomy? Did you loose anything? How was it and how do you feel?

Bilateral Salingpo Oopharectomy that is the removal of both ovaries and both fallopian tubes. Nursing care in the hospital was not good, and that from my own consultant and his team non existent, so recovery slow.

Op 15th Sept, should be over it according to consultant, same one who said daycare, persuaded to do it overnight stay after which became a week, discharged too early and he does not follow up. Still in pain and housebound.

If you have a faith please pray that I manage to arrange a follow up with Miss Cook another consultant who saw me on ward each day and was lovely, he was there but did not bother.

Sorry to moan but well upset.

It is understandable yes I will pray. I know how it is when you have a bad doctor. I wrote about my experiance of that. I would think it is understandable that you still have pain, it all depends how severe it is. I would have thought a weeks stay in hospital should be standard for this procedure none of this overnight buisness that is plain rediculous.

Do not be hard on yourself about your rate of recovery, what you had is quite substantial surgery go with the flow and rest up hon. I hope you get Miss Cook. Best of luck and thanks for reply

Daycare is standard in the UK with a few hospitals doing it overnight, probably as do laprascopically (keyhole).

Still on co-codamol and only just been able to come off oral morphine.

Sister been using my smartphone to photograph wounds and surrounding area. GP says bruising and swelling much more than she would expect.

Thanks for your reply and prayers, they are welcome.
