Getting pregnant during menopause

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi Ladies, so today my GP confirmed I have started the 'beast' of MENOPAUSE. I will be 45 in September (next month) Hubby and I have no kids and have been  trying for 3 years. I start HRT tomorow. Any pregnancy success stories during menopause and taking HRT? Vertility treatment is not an option due to the cost. Thank you

Hi, is there a reason you need to start hrt if you would like to have a baby. Could you delay the hrt for 12 months? Try the natural supplements suggested on here if you are suffering meno symptoms. But check first if they are suitable for during pregnancy.

    Best wishes

      Hi Maisie05

The symptoms are affecting my daily life and Ive not had a period for 3 months. My GP suggested the HRT as it will ease the symptoms and she said I will have a monthly period. I am taking pregnacare, and Vit D, eating healthy etc.She did also say that I could get pregnant while on HRT which will not affect a pregnancy. Just wondered if anyone else have been in the same boat. Thank you for replying.

      Hi Michellestar87

I've been having symptoms since last year. They kept checking hormone blood tests and all came back differently. Some no some said possibly, last batch in May sain no. Saw different GP on Monday who tested specific hormones based on symptoms, no period for 3 months, tired, lethargic, headaches, hot flushes, mood swings, forgetfulness. Today she told me what the base figures are(sorry can't remember numbers) and everything had doubled and its within the menopause base.

      Hope it helps
