So I am working on keeping the GA under control. I believe coffee and stressful situations do not help this condition. Also seems like alcohol is not great either. So I am minimal using those things in my life. Not cutting out completely but making it only a treat once in awhile. Trying to stay off wheat. Have not cutout nightshades. I am trying out the cream that was suggested on this site, and it seems to help. It is too early to tell, but I feel like It is giving some relief and the bumps have gone down. For now I am staying off the Chinese vine Essence herbs to give the cream a chance. It kind of seems like an immune creme and why it could be helping. I am feeling better staying off caffeine most of the time.

    Hi Holly,

I wrote in elsewhere on this forum about this. I have AG and I found something that gets rid of it - by accident. Vitamin B12 injections. I started them due to a deficiency that was causing other problems. Within only a few days I noticed the AG was starting to going away. I do 100cc once a week. All that's left of the AG are slightly reddish areas where it used to be that only show up once in a while. Try this. I think it may actually be answer to this ugly stuff! ... I feel like I should be walking around with a bull horn or something. "This is fixable! It is yet another auto immune problem due to nutritional deficiencies!" Best of luck to you! cheesygrin

      Hi Yvonne,

Thanks for your note!  It seems that most of the things that have been working for folks with GA have been discovered by accident by trying to cure something else.  I happen to have some B12 sublingual tabs here so ran to the cupboard before sitting down to answer.  While mine is very slowly improving by eliminating the things that my intolerance testing said that I was intolerant of, I'd love to have it work faster by adding a supplement.

      Keep us up to date!

      Hey Patty,

I started with B12 injections almost a year ago (I don't know how big a difference between injection or sublingual... the sublingual made me nauseous though) and have had no problems whatsoever with AG ever since. It's like a thing of the past, until I fall behind on a dose of B12 (I do a shot once a week), and reddish areas start to appear where I had the rings before. So it will come back if I stop the supplement. It leads me to wonder about our overall nutrition, and how many things we are being deprived of through food processing, GMO's, preservatives, etc, that are affecting our health. I think this is only the tip of the iceberg.

I am sure you'll be begin to see improvement with regular B12.  I've been so disappointed with doctors not looking to nutritional solutions. The dermatologist I went to for my AG did not even know what it was, took a biopsy of it, and the office happily informed me that I did not have cancer, "so no further action on your part is necessary." ...(!) rolleyes

Anyway, I started the shots because I had some other B12 deficiency symptoms and voile'! No more AG!  cheesygrin Please let me know how you do! I'll be so excited if this helps other people too!!!!

I'll bet it makes it go away Holly!  wink  Be sure to use it often enough and in full doses. I notice if I don't do an injection for much more than about a week, the rings start to show again. I also take the other B vitamins in tablet form. As far as diet goes, B vitamins are real fragile, so I try to avoid things like caffeine, sugar, heaven forbid anything artificially preserved or colored. Lots of organic green veggies, I watch my source of meats... Detoxing is important to. I don't know where you are, but I get food grade diatomaceous earth at the local Co Op. It's real cheap. A tablespoon a day in water is a great detox, which reduces stress on your overall system. Google it up and read about it. biggrin I can't wait to hear about it when it gets better!

I had a holistic doctor recommend a chinese herb as well. I bet between that and the B12 you start really seeing improvement! biggrin

Holly, thank you for sharing B12 info. I quit acitretin, just made rash much worse. Doc has me on kidney transplant anti rejection med called Mycophenolate (immune suppressant) for two months but rash is still spreading. Halobetasol cream lightens spots but leaves stretch marks and pitting in skin. What is immune cream you mentioned? You're right about stress, coffee, alcohol.... What do you think of ROM therapy? Did Chinese herbs work?

Holly, what is the immune cream called. Halobetasol works but leaves stretch marks. I'm still on Mycophenolate, the spots are flatter and rings are fading after two months. I'm sure it's an immune thing. I have stomach issues (I don't digest protein) but my b12 is in normal range. We're u deficient in b12? Mine started at menopause and I'm stressed to max! I hate this stuff and summer's coming! Why did u stop vine essence?
