Hi everyone, i am now 8 weeks post THR and up until now everything has been great, could feel my progress improving each day, but now,in the last couple of days all of a sudden i am getting that horrid groin pain again as well as my new hip area feeling very sore, i am walking indoors without a stick, but need one when out and about, i am driving again ( surgeons permission ), also lying on my sides again at night although the new hip side does feel slightly sore, so its usually only 10 mins at a time, so was wondering what i have done thats started this up again, any suggestions ?

I honestly suggest a second opinion I trusted my Doctor when I was 17 to do my total hip replacement a couple of weeks later I was back to the same pain which I thought by having a hip replacement would help he told me everything looked great I have no feeling where the incision I kept going back to him he ran test by test I mean blood work Xrays MRIs and Bone Scans everything came back normal so he says he stopped showing and explaining the xrays after the hip replacement he then starts saying its a mind thing after that i had to find someone who was more concern but as soon as they talked to the doctor that did the surgery they basically closed on me and said they couldn't help I went through depression I also got addicted to pain medication my life after this hip replacement has been miserable it  is now  4 years later and I'm still in a lot of pain seen multiple doctors they finally referred me to a hip specialist because my blood work came back abnormal stating there is inflammation caused by and infection somewhere it finally came out that the doctor that did the hip replacement did not put it in right and that that could be the reason for the pain but since the blood work is abnormal they are going to check for infection so I am relieved that I finally found a doctor who could help but I would try to find out the cause of the pain as soon as possible before it gets worse my doctor made a hip replacement sound wonderful it has been a nightmare for me and I regret getting it done
