Ghosting....

I was wondering if anybody new about this....firstly i have keratoconus that causes ghosting...but what i find very weird is that i see numerous ghosting images(normal with keratoconus) for example if im reading writing on the tv i can see it 2 or 3 times but if i put my thumb under my eye i can see a ghosting image of my thumb if i look through the ghosting bit the writing on the tv goes completley clear?does that make sense?it is the same in both eyes???im worried that this is a neuro thing in the brain and not the eye,i see my opthamologist at the end of novemember so ill be asking her but in the meantime it is worrying me.any feedback would be great
