Ghsv1 Transmission/Shedding

Ive been seeing so many mixed things online and getting different responses from doctors.

One doctor said ghsv1 is techincally the same as hsv 2 when it comes to shedding and transmission and that u have about a 10% of passing it to someone. Is this true?

The other said genital to genital ghsv1 transmission is rare but can occur. That it perfers oral to genital. So my question is, does the virus live down there? or mainly near your mouth?

How common is it to transfer genital to genital?

Does it have a lower transmission rate in genital?

Viral shedding in genitals?

Please let me know known facts or what your doctors have told you about ghsv1. Thank you
