Girls on the pill- do you still use condoms?

I was wondering if girls on the pill still use condoms when having sex in monogamous relationships? I have heard some people 'double up' but we really dislike condoms takes away the intimacy and the reason I went on the pill was to avoid them !

my boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and we are both STD free so no need for condoms to protect against that. We use the withdrawal method most of the time (now going to start using it all the time) just to be a bit safer. I take my pill at the same time every day and have never missed one.

Just wanted to know if what we do is normal? Do most people on birthcontrol not use them and been perfectly safe/effective?

Hey thanks for the reply. I was actually worried I wasn't being safe enough by just using withdrawal ! I guess lots of people on the pill don't use condoms and I'm just over thinking smile

We didn't use condoms when i was on the pill though ihave been on the nuva ring for a long time now , I've never liked the way they feel personally. Being doubly safe never hurt anyone though and depending on your age and stability of your relationship it may be worth it as the pill, like condoms is not 100%
