hello,
for many many months ive had what i thought was thrush around the point of ovulation. this month has been awful and the itching concentrated around my clitoral hood rather than the actual vagina. i felt around and theres a few bumps and sore patches. STIs really unlikely but i suppose not impossible.. i had a look to check whats going on and somethings not right but my doctor is only doing video calls at the minute and i think i need a proper check. would really appreciate any thoughts. i put vagisil (lidocaine) on my vulva and nearly passed out with pain!

try sitting in baking soda 1/2 cup with a 1/2 cup mule team borax and sat in warm water for 20 minutes see if this helps. i use a sitz bath but it really helps me.

Try olive oil - it has helped my LS greatly. It stops the itch and heals the cuts. Also - coconut oil is wonderful as well. They are both soothing.
take care!

thanks so much everyone. i havent got any of those treatments in and cant go out because we are in lockdown here! but i used tea tree and witch hazel in the shower and that seemed to calm it down a right bit. if this is LS will it always be this painful or does it come and go?

Dear Guhfuy,
The pain of LS will definitely subside - as you work to change your lifestyle - permanently, and to build your nutritional status. I know - none of us were taught how truly important good nutrition is - and the fact that even our healthy vegetables etc no longer contain enough nutrients to support excellent health without supplementation.
As it turns out, VITAMIN D deficiency is at the core of a phenomenal lot of diseases.
I created a nutritional protocol a couple years ago when I discovered this intense pain. It is listed in my discussions list when you go to my profile page - just click on my name and then on the right there is tab for switching to discussions.
Blessings,
