i couldn't take these symptoms of coming off Sertraline any longer.

After going from 200mg to zero for 10 days. I have taken a 100mg tablet today and hope it makes me feel better soon and I can feel normal again (if there is anything like normal). Hope my doctor will be ok with this and hope it kicks in soon.

Has anyone else ever gone back like this.

i feel like a zombie, can't stop crying, feeling dizzy, don't want anyone to talk to me and just want to stay in bed and cry and cry. I don't think my head belongs to me anymore.

Did you reduce to zero under free care of your GP? It sounds like a drastic thing to do without properly tapering.

Coming off an AD needs to be done carefully and a steady reduction over time. I think you've done the right thing by taking 100mg and should consult your GP about a tapering regime.

I did cut down on a weekly basis from 200mg to 150mg for a week 100mg for a week and then 50 mg for a week and now nothing. On doctors advise. I am going away in a few weeks feeling like death so I have started back on 100mg today. No improvement yet but praying will start to improve soon.

You stopped it too quickly and that too from a high dose of 200 mg. My God i think you must be going through hell. But its been only 10 days so some of the drug will be in your system still. Since you have restarted you will feel better soon. I weaned off over 4 months and that too 50 mg and i know how dreadful i felt. I have also restarted at 50 mg. Its been 4 days and i am still waiting for the effect to kick in. I did not want to go back on the drug but was left with no choice.

    Dear Lorraine,

    Praying you feel better soon.

I can't stress enough tha you always down dose slowly, gradually to get off anti-depressant; ideally, you will slowly add your new med proportionately at the same time.

I would suggest starting back slowly...like 25>50>100 and so on.

These drugs are powerful and can cause harm if not taken properly.

Praying you get back on track and feel better soon.

    ~Blessings
