Giving clob a second chance

hi all,

I got officially diagnosed with male genital ls few weeks ago and I've started using clob for the second time. I've had this problem for about 8 years now roughly.

the first time I used clob it was for about 6 - 8 weeks and I used to 1x daily 4 weeks then every other day for about 2 - 4 weeks before I stopped using it as I felt it wasn't really working.

I've decided to give it another chance to see if this time makes a difference especially as I intend to use to for a longer period of time.

I'm starting off with 2x day for 4 weeks, 1 x day for 4 weeks and then every other day or every 2 days for another 4 weeks by which time my follow up appt will be close.

I'm hoping my skin might recover from the shiny white patches and whiteness, even though it didn't last time. at the very least I hope using clob will stop the skin from getting worse.

how long did it take you for your skin to get rid of those shiny patches and regain color? also does using it long term usually prevent it from getting worse?

thanks everyone this group is very encouraging to read positive stories

Hi Space. Well hope the renewed effort with clob will indeed help. This is a horrible disease and from all I have read, it is an auto immune condition. So I'm trying to figure out what happened to get my immune system to attack my own tissue and of course it would have to be there. If it was our leg or arm, it wouldn't be half as bad. So my question is, if our immune system started to attack our own tissue can we get it to stop? I have some ideas. How long have you had this and what else did Doc say? Was this a dermatologist or a urologist?
