Gland removal hospital time?

hi,
so I'm most likely getting my gland removed in the next week or two, does anyone know how long the procedure takes or how long you have to stay at the hospital?

My surgery lasted about 2 hours a little longer then expected due to bleeding. I was supposed to go home that day but ended up staying over night because my doctor was worried about a hematoma. Recovery is rough make sure you have ice packs and a heating pad. The hospital gave me some over the counter pain spray that was helpful. Good luck it was the best thing I ever did.

I think it's varies for everyone. My surgery was on a Monday morning. It lasted about an hour and I went home after another hour in recovery. I spent an entire week at home and was back to work the following Monday. The week spent at home was a little rough but not as rough as having a recurring infected cyst. The key is icing the area around the clock. It helps with the pain, swelling, and bruising. I also think it was the best thing I ever did. Best of luck to you!

Feel free to share any tips for pain and faster recovery!
