Glands question.

Hello everyone. Say if you follow your ear lobes down with your finger on either side, are you suppose to able to feel your glands/nodes if you press in? (while looking up) theyre concerning me as I can feel them and don't know if this is normal or not. Probably anxiety but I thought I would ask thanks

Yes! That entire area is a weird mixture of glands, tendons, muscle, and skin. It's pretty easy to feel your glands. But try not to touch it too often -- you can actually irritate the area by doing that. But it's perfectly normal. Behind your ear is also the mastoid process -- a little "bump" that can get bigger when you have sinus allergies. That's normal too.

    Peace.

Thanks for the reply, ever since I noticed them I'm constantly checking, they do feel the same size and haven't changed in weeks

If you press your neck you will feel what is below the skin.

The medical profession says if you feel any noticable nodules that are changing tell your GP.

It seems like Anxiety, If you are uncertain, put your mind at rest and see your GP

Thank you I don't think they're changing as I have been feeling them for weeks, but yeah I might make a GP appointment to make sure
