Glans sensitive and foreskin sticky

Hi guys,

So a few days ago i retracted my foreskin for the first time. I'm 20 and i've always been afraid of retracting cause i tought the foreskin was tight. But a few days ago i retracted on accident and i have a few problems.

My glans is SUPER sensitive that i can't touch it with anything because it hurts that much (even when i blow on it it hurts). Ma foreskin is also sensitive and i cant retract it when erect because it is still a bit tight.

The second problem is my glans and foreskin are dry and sticky. When i retract the foreskin doesn't glide smoothly it kinda rolls over and slowly unsticks from the glans. I started thinking that if it wasnt so sticky maybe i could retract it on and off with ease? Also my glans sometimes gets white and dry and seems textured like the skin is gonna peel off (mainly when masturbating).

My questions are:

1. How can i desensitize my glans and foreskin and how long will it take?

2. How to get rid of the stickiness and make it all glide smoothly?

3. Also how can i wash my penis? I cant do it because it is too sensitive to touch so i can't clean it. Will just letting water go over the exposed glans clean it at all and will it help with desensitization?

Thank you all!

First of all.  You say that you are 20 and this is the first time you pulled your foreskin back.  When you were younger didn't anyone show you how to clean yourself.  Your Father should have showed you.  I think you should go see a doctor.  Please for your own good Ken

I'm sorry but your father should have talked to you and showed you how to pull it back when you started puberty.  Maybe it would not be as bad now.  You need to make sure your ok..  See a urologist  Ken

If you use some moisturising cream, I think you will find the movement of the foreskin will be both easier and less painful. There are numbing creams, too, but I've never needed them so can't advise on them. Age changes your sensitivity. There will come a point when it's not painful and just highly pleasurable. Enjoy that while it lasts!

Buddy I think he needs to see a urologist because if he never exposed the head before or clean it.  It will be very sensitive.  If he was showed that before the fore skin would have been more loose if you get what I mean.  I'm cut and so are my sons.  I all way told them to wash there private.  Even when they got older and was having sex.  You have to keep yourself clean  Take it easy  Ken

Hey man, what you are experiencing happens to a lot of guys and luckily for you i just so happen to be a urologist in training. I've also been through what you've been through. You can stretch the foreskin with your hands or with anything that causes it to open. What I mean by that is you need to use something that will open the foreskin wide enough so that it's not hurting but also outs your skin through some stress. This causes your skin to expand over time. It takes a couple months of dedicated work but I had a 19 year old patient do it in a month. For cleaning DO NOT USE SOAP . I'd doesn't matter if you are circumcised or not you should not use soap as you have good bacteria that kill bad bacteria and using soap not only removes the good bacteria but it will dry the glans(head of penis) to the point it is uncomfortable and more prone to tearing like chapped lips would but only on the head of the penis.

The super sensitivity can be fixed as well, essentially what you need to do it keep exposing it to things that cause the discomfort. What this does is essentially "retrain" the nerves in your penis into becoming less active when it comes to sexual activity or in general. I started out by running the showerhead over my glans and from then I went to towels, letting it dry etc- anything that I didn't like to do. As for washing you just let water run over the surface of the glans and use your finger to lightly rub the surface to get rid of anything that might be there, but dont stress about that too much. I think people forget that the penis is self cleaning and doesn't really require special attention. The white skin coming off is because the glans dries up a bit and easily when erect unless it's properly lubricated. The stickiness can be solved with lubricating it prior to masturbation until you loosen it up a bit. Feel free to ask questions!

      Hi thanks for the response!

My main concern is how long does it take to desensitize the glans? I am worried about pain and discomfort during sex... Can you explain a bit more detailed the methods for desensitazation?

And also i have mever washed my glans before exposing it the other day and it was dry and sticky even the first time i retracted my foreskin. I have been washing it with just water and it is not improving sadly. So what can i do about that so the foreskin can glide smoothly?

You only get what you put into itsmile if you slack you may never desensitize it. If you keep up on it I would expect it to take a year or so. That may seem like a long time but it's been 20 years since it's had contact yknow? It's tacky but if you were to use a non scented moisturizer(scented moisturizers are very bad for this type of skin) or even baby oil I expect that would make a world of a difference. The desensitization works like when you workout to get stronger. It's very uncomfortable until you've met your goal you just have to keep up on it! Basically start out by blowing on it or even touching it and when that becomes comfortable move to touching it with more abrasive things like a washcloth. In not saying to do this every waking moment but anytime you have a bathroom break or are home alone do it as much as you can tolerate. While you do it try to keep your mind off of it. So if you are super uncomfortable with a certain stimulation the watch a movie or something to occupy yourself. Are your glans shiny when erect?
