Glasses and vertigo?

Does anyone feel that when they have a vertigo attack, putting your glasses on worsens it? I wear these glasses all the time, but suddenly since my vertigo attack, my dizziness is amplified when I'm putting them on now. It only got really bad a few days ago

    Hi Sam!

I have an undiagnosed vestibular disorder and feel sick all the time. I have very bad vision and normally wear contacts. Ever since my vestibular illness started 5 months ago, it's hell to wear my contacts and be able to see properly! My symptoms are so much better when I'm "blind" and can't see anything and have poor vision. The moment I'm actually able to see properly and wear contacts, the symptoms are so much worse. sad what is your diagnosis? I hope you feel better soon!

Yes. My glasses make it worse. But I only need them for reading mostly

This is understandable when one knows that there is communucation between eye movements and the vestibular organs of the inner ears.

I wear verifocles all the time but sometimes I feel when watching TV that I have to move them down my nose slightly so I am looking out the distance bit.  But vertigo not present just a slight dizziness in my head,  it's not just when watching to when out and about it happens sometimes too.  I have invested in a pair of distance glasses for occasions like those.  I am told I suffer with migraine with dizziness and vertigo , for which I take Nortriptyline.  Hope some of this helps.
