Can't read driving eyesight test. So went to get signed off at specsavers only to be sent back to the specialist and after field test it's not looking good. He said I Hve to come back for the driving sight test. But it's likely IL be unfit to drive!! I've got 2 kids. Who else has been I'm this situation?

My pressures are great usually below 11. But visual field shows significant lost.

I am the opposite, my pressures have been fluctuating between about 25 and 34 for the past 27 years, (now almost 74)  but field tests still almost perfect, but I have been on eyedrops since 1997.    My consultant said that the pressures often don't mean a great deal, and he said they had patients with field loss on very normal pressures.      I never miss the drops, and do everything they say.      My field tests have not been quite as good on several occasions, over the years, but have since gone back to excellent again.    I take lutein vitamin suplements every day.   That was not at the suggestion of the hospital, but based on my own research.   I also eat lots of green vegetables.     Two years ago, I stopped drinking alcohol, not because anyone told me to, or even suggested it, but I thought if I did stop, even if it didn't help reduce pressure, it would save me a lot of money.   After a few weeks, I didn't even miss the vino any more!      Although they say that lost vision cannot be restored, I still feel that a lot of things will actually improve if left to nature, especially if you give it a helping hand with supplemenst and green vegetables, no smoking and no drinking.    Have you noticed any vision loss?

It’s a tough one. I’m 47, had glaucoma for 22 years. Only discovered/treated for 17 years. On maximum drops, pressure varies between 12-18. Visual field appears to get worse slightly each time I do it. But when I do the eye sight test it says 6/6 although I feel one eye is getting worse. Normal tension glaucoma is tough for you. Mine I feel when I’m having a bad day as mine is narrow angle and pressure can rise if I neglect a drop quite quickly.

ive no advise on the eye sight test but understand it’s a stressful time. What treatment are you on and what type of specialist are you seeing? Perhaps some of the new treatments out can help slow the progression?

How bad is your visual field? If your pressure is generally bellow11,  how do you have significant lost?
