globus sensation

to everyone suffering with this choking in the throat feeling. i fired two doctors who tried to tell me it was anxiety related as this is not. anxiety can give you a tightness in your throat and neck but if its more than tightness and headaches and feels like something is stuck in your lower throat all the time everyday and makes it a bit harder to breath and gives you fatigue then get checked. i had xrays and ultrasounds on my neck to that all came back normal. my blood work all of it normal accept one thing and that was my phosphates were high off scale. seen ent who said i had swelling and inflammation in my throat by larynx from gerd seen gastroentologist who did endoscope and biopsy on my esophagus where there found nodulars now im going to see a bone and nerve doctor and a lung specialist. That choking feeling that never goes away is not normal its your body needing something fixed and many many health problems can cause the feeling.its been a year for me and im getting answers slowly waiting for specialist and more tests but i suffered with anxiety over 30 years so i know the difference between a tight feeling from anxiety and a choking sensation. Keep getting tests done and your answer come soon. My bone doctor thinking its a tumour in the back of my neck in my c1 to c6 and its pressing through the throat area causing the inflammation in the throat and now the nerve pain in my arms and my pain in my neck. mri next month its scary but i gotta find the answers and get fixed

It was so refreshing to read your post because I can sense the enthusiasm you have to get to the bottom of this! My story in a nutshell - suffered with globus for going on to 6 years now. All tests and scans have come back absolutely clear and EVERY specialist tells me its probably anxiety and will go on its own. Like you - I totalllllly disagree (and its easy for them to pin it on anxiety and be on their merry way, yet we are left to suffer the discomfort). I also have pain that radiates from my throat into my chest and between my shoulder blades. An endoscopy came back clear - not even any signs of gerd!! I noticed my symptoms came on after I drank a coffee I purchased and thought I had swallowed a foreign object that had lodged in my throat. I mean for 6 years though??? The only thing one ent noticed about my mri and xrays was that my spine from c1 to c6 is dead straight and lacks any natural curvature. Something he said he had never seen in his entire 25y career. So reading your encouragement of pursuing this really gave me the inspiration to keeeeeeep trying to get to the bottom of this. To date I have not found anything that gives me even temporary relief (unless I sleep). I ask...please please PLEASE if you ever come across a break through...please check back in and let us know! I will definitely do the same! Wishing you and all of us on here better days!!!
