Globus sensation - phantom feeling of something stuck in my throat

I suffer from anxiety disorder , I have been on and off medication and slowly relapse each time , my symptoms each time evolve this time around it was eye twitch , heart burn, extreme anxiety attacks and now I have this feeling called Globus sensation, this is the worst because usually each symptom goes away until my next anxiety however I’ve had the globus for two weeks which makes me anxious again
has anyone had this ? I’m going to start my Zoloft again because I can’t deal with the everyday monitor and fear of anxiety and I can not handle another physical symptom
I just want to know if anyone has had this Globus sensation and does it go away ? Will it go away when the medication kicks in and my body comes out of the anxious state
reslly depressed about this

I have something similar. I get the throat clearing symptom which is from anxiety. The ENT labeled it globus sensation. All I can say for sure is that it goes away when I focus on something else, meaning when I get a new obsession. So the silver lining here is that it is anxiety and will go away at some point. Try to accept it as hard as you can and try to say to yourself that it will go away and it's not serious.

I'm so so sorry. I understand completely. For ex. when I was knee deep in my throat clearing obsession, the ENT said well you just have to stop doing it. Not his fault of course, but I got upset and yelled but I can't that's the problem! 🙃🙃🙃🙃
My dr keeps telling me to accept my symptoms doubts etc. I understand the logic behind acceptance in the sense that your level of frustration comes down and then your anxiety lessens. However this is very very hard. I am not always good at it. Maybe 50% of the time.
my anxiety has been pretty constant. It leaves me for a few weeks then bam! Starts again. always battling it. You're not alone. We can get better at managing it. We have to keep trying new things and knowing that we are not alone I think helps a lot.

Hey there! I'm so sorry you're so sad. I often state, it never ceases to amaze me, the broad array of symptoms that manifest from anxiety. It doesn't seem fair that we have to suffer this. As if the psychological aspect isn't enough! This is almost certainly anxiety related. I often get a dry mouth and when out and about always carry a bottle of would, in my bag or just on me if I'm exercising. You could chew gum or take a packet of mints if you're out and about. The idea is to create saliva,so it is ideas on how to do that. Donna xxx

I've had both, mainly difficulty swallowing moreso I would say xxx eating can sometimes be troublesome but somehow chocolate seems to make it...! No seriously, it's horrible. As if we haven't got enough to worry about!my question is this. If anxiety is a psychological state of the mind. Why should it have any bearing on the physical being!!! Leave us alone! Xxx sorry, I talk an incredible amount of rubbish sometimes!!!

I don’t know about Zoloft but I had the same symptoms with my throat and I started Celexa low dosage and it went away completely after 4 months.
Be patient I know easier said than done.
Good luck.
