Gluten / diary free diet. Thoughts?

Hi everyone,

Im reading a book at the moment on how to recover the immune system.  It mentions cases where people with RA that have removed gluten and diary from there diet for 6 months had no indication of RA in their system after 6 -12 months.  Sounds too good to be true.  Has anyone tried it? Im going to give it a go, nothing to loose.

I started a new diet about 2 months ago cutting out all gluten, dairy and red meat, and junk food. I thought I was doing fantastic until out of the blue I had a flare, now almost 2 weeks later I am having another one with flu like symptoms so I am undecided whether it helps RA but I did feel lots better so I don't think it will hurt to stay on it. Gluten, dairy and redmeat are definetly inflamation factors.
