Gluten-free: have you tried it?

Hi everyone.
I'm sure there are loads of threads here that talk about diet. I've tried to go through them all to find answers. I've seen numerous times people report trying a gluten-free diet. Just wondering if you've tried it and what results did you have?
Is it worth trying?
Many thanks,
K

Hi kalila, yes, it is worth trying. But, before you start you need to become a little bit informed with where gluten lurks. It is in a LOT of produce, you will find numerous lists online.
What I did when I wanted to try going GF for a month was to first download a list of products/foods that contain gluten, then I brought an empty washing basket into my kitchen and loaded it up with sauces, and foods that contain gluten. I then stored this away from my kitchen because once your kitchen is 'clean' it makes it easier. Many people don't realise it is in an awful lot of produce and if you are going to try it you need to do it properly.
I do believe that if after a month or two you don't notice any positive difference in your LS, then perhaps it is not a problem for you and you can then bring everything back into your kitchen.
The reason I mentioned all this is because going GF for some people is overwhelming and this makes it a bit easier.
