Gnawing L sided upper back pain, random sharp L sided pains under ribs, achey tenderness in abdomen

Does this sound like IBS? I hate the ever changing symptoms of this wretched condition! The pain started a few weeks ago as some sharp pains under my ribs (directly under my left arm) with a "stitch" feeling in my side that doesn't leave (been there off and on before). The pains would happen quick and last half a second usually a few times a day. A few days ago the gnawing upper back pain started. Today, I noticed the abdominal tenderness and acheyness. Ive noticed my BMs have increased from 1 to 3 times a day now, but they are not loose or difficult to pass and the pain does not seem to be associated with them. The gnawing pain disappeared for a short time today for whatever reason. Anyone experience this?

Are you getting the stitch pain under your left armpit to your chest on the left?

Not under my armpit per se, but if I put my arm down at my side, its right under the rib on the left side (following my arm down). It doesn't travel to my chest, but occasionally when I breathe deep, I'll get a sharp pain in my chest that lasts a few breath cycles. Same pain as under my rib.

i don't know - doctors are good sometimes and sometimes not! mine did nothing for my ibs that's why i changed surgeries. my new surgery has some doctors better than others. i can't stand most male doctors i trust 1 at my surgery but then if something happens when you're little that explains that.
