Go to 150mg?

Hi all. I've been gradually increasing my sertraline. In January I started on 50mg and am currently on125mg (3 1/2 weeks). Time to increase to 150mg? Had big panic attack yesterday so thinking maybe I'm not at correct dose for me yet.

I am on day 12 and on day 3 of 125 mg and I feel so bad! Nausea, actually vomited this morning, heightening anxiety.

Hi monna. Still have nausea and headaches but anxiety was starting to settle and then, bam, yeste Day was awful. Still feeling heightned anxiety. GP had wanted me to go to 150mg and not 125mg weeks ago and I've r as hat 150mg is the therapeutic dose that most people settle on. It's been a long journey though! Over the weeks to date.

I completely understand. The doc doesn't appreciate the severity of the side effects. But we need to get to he therapeutic dose for us. This drug is said to be fantastic when the right dose fe the individual is reached. Keep your chin up xx

Have you found studies that say 150 is the best therapeutic dose? I hear a lot about it but can’t find anything to documentate it. For me it would help to see a doc that says exact that.

Was talking to my mental health nurse today who confirmed that most people only see real benefits for anxiety when they settle on 150mg. I had read lots of posts on here where psychs had told their patients the same thing. Here's hoping it does the trick 🤞🏼

Just started 150mg today. Can't take propanalol as I've naturally low blood pressure but do have 2mg diazepam which I can take of my anxiety peaks.

I decided to give it a go as I need to start feeling better. I have diazepam as a crutch if needs be. Hope you're feeling better soon x
