GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!

Let me just say that this forum is very helpful and everything. BUT one thing i've noticed is how many people have asking about something related to genital herpes and then you have people that are like "ohhh its just infected hair" AND YALL BELIEVE THEM!! regardless of what people on here tell you, GO TO THE ACTUAL DOCTOR AND GET AN ACTUAL HERPES TEST! i dont mean to yell but thats just crazy. how can you listen to random strangers with no doctoral degree telling you you're fine?? be smart and go see someone with more knowledge. and demand you get swabbed. period!

a lot of people dont have insurance or the funds to get checked right away so they ask in the forum. dont criticize people because you dont know what else they have going on

okay so you clearly dont know how to read.. at all. wasnt criticism and i was talking about people who hear from others on this forum that theyre fine and choose not to go to a doctor about it at all.

i hear you.. I truly hope everyone sees a actual doctor with whatever their concerns are. Ive always told anyone i give advice to, to see a doctor, dermatologist and if they cant get into the doc quick, urgent care. and take whatever photos they have shown us to show them for reference. i seriously hope no one fully diagnose themselves alone without speaking to a doctor after. i think that some people can offer a sense of relief and ease panic, it is nice to hear from other people tho. ones that are going through it, you know. but i completely hear you.

exactly. as ive stated in the beginning, this is a grwat forum and very informative and helpful to relate to others and seek advice but it shouldnt stop there. std's spread just like that because people think theyre only dealing with razor bumps. for safety of one's self and others, going to the doctor should be a must.

I completely agree! Admittedly, I have seeked advice on here on what they think it is, but that's after I have been to the doctor and taken a swab and waiting on the results. I am no expert but I have seen a few times when people appear to have "classic" herpes sores and someone has diagnosed as folliculitis

and you sure did do the right thing. so much misinformation on this site. seek advice is definitely a good idea but not the ONLY thing to do.
