Going from Tramadol 400mg to Butrans 10mg

Hi there

Is there anyone out there who has gone from Tramadol 400mg to Butrans 10mg.  I have been on Tramadol for a frew years now for Fybromialgia and they were beginning to not work for me, I have only been on them for 5 days. I've been having trouble sleeping, so I'm exhausted all day. But I am feeling really restless and agitated so I don't know if it's because I have come off the Tramadol too fast.  I did it slowly, getting it down to 4 x 50mg, then trarted the patch, then got the tramadol to 1 x 50gm.

So I don't know if the patches are making me feel like this, or the Tramadol?

    I could not take Tramadol so went on to the patches. I was on 25g for about two months and have now come off altogether . I had to reduce them slowly but found it easy to stop.  They certainly worked for me with no side effects . Good luck.

    Hi grannygoogle I was Tramadol also before moving to the butran patch .I did have a slight side effect at the start but the settled down in a couple of weeks.I found the butrans patch so much better .Hope it works for you !

      Hi Terrie,

      Thanks for your reply.  I have now been on the patches for 2 full weeks, and I have to say the side effects have settled down a bit. They are helping along with other tablets I am on.
