Had RTHR last Friday had to stay in extra day due to moist wound but ok still very tired in afternoons but going home on 5mg OxyContin twice a day and paracetamol and some naproxen hope all goes ok all I have to do is be good for my aunt who despite my best efforts has brought my bed downstairs so will just have to smile nicely and take it all in my stride! Looking forward to seeing kids although was too tired to miss them much so far 😐

Well done for going home tonight, I am on day 17 still using crutches, find 30 min walk is enough for me,the one thing I hate about all of this is having to lie on my back to sleep

    Congratulations on going home

I am day 8 post op. Still need to rest in bed most of the day as this one wasn't as straight forward as my last one. You will need to rest.

Let us know how you get on.

    Where are you located

Glad you are home. Take it steadily and do not overdo it - many people think they are doing well and just do too much too soon.

    Let yourself be pampered!

Don't be a hero when it comes to tablet taking - you heal better with less pain.

I look forward to hearing you are doing well.

    Good luck!

I'm now nearly 5 weeks still taking some tablets and using crutches but am seeing little amounts of progress all the time.

Good luck on your road to recovery, take heed from others, just take your time.  I wish I'd had my bed downstairs now, but no me being a bad patient! Look forward to your future posts.

Good morning Caroline .. Welcome home and I hope you were able to get some zzzz's   ... do you have a toilet downstairs ? how old are your children? maybe you can have the bed moved upstairs again, perhaps in a couple of days ?   oh dear ... can imagine your apprehension having your doting aunt around you all day - you seem like a lovely soul and so does she ... but please, set bounderies and speak up (nice soft voice :-)) Hopefully she'll understand ... take care and try to let go of control, as hard as that is ....  come back here and vent your frustrations !!! be gentle with your self - big hug -
