Going off Sertraline

Thanks for this site... I have been doing research on withdrawls from Sertraline.  Love the discussions and replies.  My heart goes out to all of you.. Ive been on anti depressants for 13yrs now and I want to get off of them.  I have decreased from 100 mg to 50 mg.  Have been on that for a week and a half now. I am beginning to feel some withdraw, headaches, tiredness, nausea. I am determined to take myself off of this. One doesn't realize how BAD this med is until they begin doing research.  I will check back often.

Good luck to you! I'm also withdrawing at the moment.

I've been on 50mg since Dec. currently on 12.5mg.

Started withdrawing beg of July very slowly.

Not had many side effects - it's been so much easier then I thought it would be.

Side effects so far have been numb teeth, tiredness, irritability and mild anxiety which only lasts a few minutes.

Hope all goes well with you :-) xx

Hi Love hope your doing ok I have started reducing 40 mg to 20 mg in the last few days , I feel amazing however I tried this a month ago and was violently sick was dreadful.  Really scared me so I'm having another go I'm taking prozac . I find it strange that 20 mg suited me for ages then I went through a bad time and jumped to 40 mg which , then made everything ok but recently has made feel really depressed .

My Dr suggest lustral once I'm off this , but I don't know ?

    Any advice welcome
