Going to have total hysterectomy on the 19th January feeling a little aprensive 😮

After many appointments and many problems I am finally having surgery for multiple fibroids and bleeding whilst on my menopause age 59yrs. I also have a slight prolapse so hoping hysterectomy is my answer.

Hi Yvonne I'm having hysterectomy on 19th January die to bleeding hand cysts in both ovaries I'm 54 really anxious about the surgery xx

Hi Sharon, looks like we are going in on the same day , you will be fine I am sure they have done this surgery thousands of time so we are in good hands I am sure but, I understand your apprehension I feel exactly the same but, will be so glad to get it done and start this year of 2018 knowing I won't have these issues to deal with any longer and I can get on with my life so I pray the same for you too. By the way are you in England too as I am .xx

Hi Sharon and Yvonne, I'm 69 and had a full hysterectomy and laparotmy at RAH in Paisley on 27 November. All good and I started driving today 6 weeks postop! Don't worry, either of you, the operation is pretty routine these days and I'm certain you will both feel the benefit immediately. You'll be out within 5 days latest and as long as you take it easy to start with, you'll soon pick up. Listen to you body..... All the best xx
