Good Checkup

All went well at my 6 week checkup. I walked into the Doc's office caneless which impressed him. He said that since my surgery was more involved than just a regular hip replacement (he had to remove the femur rod and screws from my leg from when I had broken it) he was pretty impressed with my progress at 38 days. X-rays looked good and the soft tissue around hip implant is mending well. I will go back next month for another checkup before going back to work. I still need for the soft tissue around the new hip implant to mend a bit more and I need to build up the muscle tone but all is going very, very well.

Congrats, that's good news keep up the good work.

In your situation was different because of the removal of the old rod of your previous accident. But the new hip held up great. I am happy with your outcome.

It has been a tough two years. Last January I slipped on black ice and shattered the top of my femur into 9 pieces. They put a femur rod in and secured it with screws and plates. This year just about one year later I had to replace the hip s,out came the rod. But that's all history now. I'm pretty happy with my progress, takes a lot of dedicated work as everyone here knows. I'm,very grateful they were able to put my Humpty Dumpty hip and leg back together again.
