Hi all, as a recent, Christmas time, newly diagnosed woman I want to share what has helped me. Following advice from a member of this forum, guppy, I had a really red sore that had been there for at least 6mths and I had been applying steroid cream daily and it was not improving. I stopped the cream and used cornflour 3 times a day to dry the sores up and then I used nappy rash cream, bepanthen, 3 or 4 times a day.  I am so much better, I know it’s early days but this is the best I’ve been for at least a year.

I am due to go on holiday soon and I am worried that swimming will cause another flare up, does anyone have any advice please?

Hi Wendy - glad u are finding some relief. Can you tell me how you used the cornflour - I haven't tried that and have heard various ways of using it. Thank you

Wendy, that is great news! thanks for sharing that.

I have a pool and I swim twice a week.  I don't think its wise to swim every day as chlorine is a chemical and not great for people like us.  I purchased an enema bulb which you can buy on Amazon.  Before swimming I fill this up with water and as soon as I leave the pool I squirt this into my Vjay which rinses any remnents of chlorine that is up there.  This may sound extreme but I have hardly any labia minora which makes it easy for the chlorine to enter. I have multiple chemical sensitivity and so I have to take these measures. Also, afterward I jump in the shower and wash every inch of my skin and so this little routine works for me.,

Hi Annie, laying on the bed and using a mirror so I make sure I get the right spot, I pat the flour on with a make up pad. I keep a small bag of flour in my bedside cabinet and use it every time I use the loo and when I go to bed.  It sounds really funny to be dabbing flour on your whats it but it has certainly helped me
