You have answered your own question. Acceptance is a great way to reduce the anxiety to tolerable levels. It's not a cure but coping strategy. Fight the fear by accepting the fear.

Acceptance for me is like saying "yeah! I am anxious, but it won't stop me from living my life!" And continue with your life. Not letting it cripple you, not letting it stop you from doing things. Yeah, at first it will be hard, but just like everything else, you'll get used to it. Our bodies are adaptable. Just like exercise. After a while we have to push harder than before to get the desire affect.

instead of trying to fight off anxiety sensations, what you do is be an observer of them. You calmly acknowledge that you have them and tell yourself “this is OK. I can handle this.” This also works when you have negative thoughts. You observe them and allow them for a few seconds and then in a relaxed way you watch them float off and dissolve. The more anxious you are about the thoughts the more you will have them. Allow them to drift right on by., while you remain calm.
of course, you always want to follow up with your doctor when you have new symptoms. But after you’ve been checked out and everything is OK then you can use the mindfulness approach for physical symptoms.
Many people on this site are reading the book called mindfulness which teaches you how to regain your peace of mind and conquer fear in anxiety. There are also great mindfulness meditation’s on YouTube for Anxiety, sleep, depression, etc.
that I listen to daily. They completely relax my mind and body and symptoms.
another thing that took me a long time to learn is not taking life too seriously because that increased my Zaidi and symptoms. I started doing things that relaxed me like meditation, laughing and smiling more, going for walks in nature, surrounding myself with positive people etc.

I am just realising that there is no medicalcure for anxiety. We will always have it we have to come to terms with it and learn to live with it. I'm very good at fishing out the advice and telling people how to get through it but I'm not there with putting it in practise for myself just yet. I am interested in the mindfullness book. I agree with what was said. Wehave to allow the anxiety to come.....know we are ok and let it go away. The meds definitely help but I think the key to living with Anxiety and panic is accepting it and learning to deal with it. We all have different things that make us comfortable when we feel bad. Spend timedoing those. Don't be too hard on yourself if you have a bad moment. Allow yourself time to rest and relax. I'm looking forward to My group cou selling that is starting soon and maybe some cbt therapy.i know being in tune with how i feelandlearning to relax is going to be my best way forward.
